With a booking at our car park at Dortmund Airport, we guarantee an available parking space on the booked arrival day. We do not assign a fixed parking space number. You simply park your vehicle in an available parking space within the tariff class of your choice, which is indicated in the booking confirmation under “Parking area”.

Accepted Answer

The QR code is already included in the booking confirmation; it was probably just not displayed. Due to your individual security settings, the automatic loading of image files in your e-mails may be blocked. Unfortunately, we have no control over that.
If you see several red Xs in your booking confirmation, right-click one of the boxes with the red Xs in it. Then select the “download images” option. The QR code will then be displayed.
If you do not see a red X, please change the format to HTML in your mailbox settings.

Do I need to print the QR code?

The QR code can optionally be used as a printout in paper form or digitally by smartphone via the Wallet App.
If you want to use the QR code via smartphone, do not scan the QR code directly from the open booking confirmation e-mail on the smartphone at the entrance. Without the Wallet app, the QR code is scaled incorrectly when your smartphone is turned in your hand, meaning it cannot be read by the scanner.

Yes, you use the same QR code for entering and exiting. There are not separate QR codes for entry and exit.

If the QR code cannot be read by the system, press the help button. You will find this at the entrance and exit columns as well as at the automatic pay stations. The help key is marked with a telephone symbol.
Pressing this button will connect you directly to our 24-hour staffed parking control centre for direct assistance. Alternatively, call the phone number in the booking confirmation.

Cancellation – How do I cancel my booking?

If your tariff is cancellable, click on the “Cancel” link in the booking confirmation. Your cancellation request will then be reviewed by our service and you will receive a response by e-mail. Please note the cancellation conditions of your booking. You will find these in detail at the bottom of your booking confirmation.

The arrival and departure date cannot be rebooked (i.e. changed). Please note the rebooking conditions of your booking. You will find these in detail at the bottom of your booking confirmation.
If your tariff is cancellable, please rebook for the correct period on our website. Then cancel your old booking using the “Cancel” link in your booking confirmation.
Please note that this is only possible before entry. The booking period cannot be changed after entry has taken place. Please note the information on “Can I park longer than I have booked?”

Other changes – How do I change my booking details?

You can change booking details yourself at any time and without any waiting or processing times by clicking on the “Change” link in your booking confirmation. Click on “Change” to open the booking management menu. Enter your new data there and save the change by clicking on “Save”. You will then automatically receive an updated booking confirmation by e-mail.
In this way, you can change the time, the number of persons, information about bulky luggage and child seats as well as name, address and billing data.

Can I park longer than I booked?

Yes, you can park with us for longer than you originally booked without any problems. Your car will of course remain where it is. Your booking period cannot be retroactively changed after entry. It is also not permitted to add the additional days to the extension of an existing booking by means of a separate follow-up booking. No reimbursement will be made for any breach of this provision.
The additional parking fees are to be paid on-site at the automatic pay station. You will only receive a receipt for the local payment after pressing the “Receipt” option in the display area of the automatic pay station. After the additional payment, you can open the gate again with your QR code and drive out.
Despite a different return date, simply proceed as described in the booking confirmation.

Can I park earlier than I specified when booking?

The times you specify at the time of booking are not binding; they are simply a helpful guide for us. You can arrive on the booked arrival day as early as 00:01 AM.

Can I park later than I specified at the time of booking?

The times you specify at the time of booking are not binding; they are simply a helpful guide for us. You can leave on the booked departure day until 24:00. In addition, there is one more free hour until 1:00 AM.

How do I pay the parking fee?

The parking fees are paid within the booking with either of the following payment methods:
Credit card (Mastercard, VISA)
SEPA direct debit (only for German bank accounts)

We need about two to three working days from the time the payment data is entered and processed to the time it is actually debited. In individual cases, this process can take up to ten working days.

If there are irregularities in your payment, this will be recorded automatically by the accounting department. You will then receive a letter by post in which we “remind” you of the outstanding amount. With this letter, we will also charge you the additional costs incurred by us for the return debit note. Your QR code is active for parking regardless, as we have your personal data. You can therefore arrive, park and fly in complete relaxation.

The Budget Tariff is the cheapest way to park at our Dortmund Airport location. With this tariff, you benefit from a lower price at the cost of less flexibility. Cancellation and rebooking are not possible with this tariff.

Smart has nothing to do with your vehicle or make of car. With this tariff, you can park any make or model of car with us. It is called the Smart Tariff because it offers a more attractive value for your money.
In contrast to the Budget Tariff, a booking in the Smart Tariff can be cancelled without risk until midnight on the evening before the booked arrival day. This means that a rebooking (change of arrival and departure date) is possible within this period by free cancellation and new booking.

How do I get from the car park to Dortmund Airport?

Our car park is only a 650-metre walk from the terminal of Dortmund Airport. A transfer is not necessary, as the airport is within a few minutes’ walking distance. Next to the automatic pay station at the car park, you can find a map with a short description of how to get to the airport. Just photograph it to be on the safe side for the footpath.
Our tip: for even more comfort, drop passengers and luggage directly at the terminal before parking. Access to the terminal for loading and unloading is free of charge for a few minutes. Due to the direct proximity to our car park, this is not a major detour or loss of time.
